Two Makers. One Shared Philosophy.

Fleece and Woodland Retreats began with a shared love of fibre, the Welsh Landscape and of the particular kind of connection that happens when people step away from everyday life and spend time together.

We are Helen Hickman, owner & dyer of Nellie & Eve - Plant Dyed Yarns and Lynne Seymour creator of Calon Yarns. Two creatives brought together by a love of wool, craft, nature and the stories that connect them.

Between us, our creative lives have taken us through yarn, natural dyeing, teaching and making but increasingly we were drawn to something beyond the workshop table: the restorative possibilities of the places in which we gather.

Woodland paths, open hillsides, a table filled with good food. Time spent making with our hands. Conversations that gently unfold. A quiet hour with a book or knitting. The simple pleasure of having nowhere you need to be.

We wanted to create experiences where all those things could belong together.

And so Fleece & Woodland Retreats was born.
